Setting the Sights on Leadership
At times this year it may have been difficult to focus on anything except School Relaunch, yet I believe we have accomplished this work very successfully. We are at this point familiar with our new routines and expectations and I wonder if we can now begin using the language of School Renewal instead of School Relaunch. As we begin shifting our focus to renewal, we can look ahead to renewing professional connections with learners, renewing learning across the Division, and renewing our commitment to our organizational purpose of Learner Engagement, Support and Success. This shift to renewal will help us continue to adapt our commitments and practices to our new now and connect with the best that FSD can be.

Please add in any comments you may have around the essential features of teaming to help focus our commitment to renewal.

One thing that resonated with me was the piece on voice of all and not having a pre-known plan but designing it together with the parts each individual with their experience and knowledge can bring to the conversation. I think this true definition of collaboration is critical to renewal as a division.

Great teams (and team members) are curious, passionate, empathic. The leaders model this for their team every day, every minute.

Teaming is essential to the development of culture. Curiosity and passion are important to this process. Leaders must give their staff the opportunity to team and encourage ongoing and collaborative dialogue. Positivity and open mindedness are key!

Essential features of teaming and commitment to renewal - how do we engage all the stakeholders? Bus drivers, custodians, EA's, LC's, FSLC's and teachers? Commitment to team means valuing, respecting and asking for everyone's voice and opinion and being ready and willing to hear the answers!

"Teaming is the culture" . Teaming should be the way we do things in FSD.
