WHAT IS THE FRIENDS OF FOOTHILLS SCHOOLS FOUNDATION?

We are a CRA-registered foundation and a society in Alberta. Our membership consists of community members who see our youth of Foothills School Division as citizens of a lifelong flourishing learning environment.

Our Vision is to remove financial barriers that impede academic success.

Our Mission is to build a community that empowers the students of Foothills School Division.

WHAT IS THE NEED?

While public funding from Alberta Education addresses basic education opportunities, students will benefit from further enhancements in their education. From removing barriers, to urgent aide, and funding innovative, community-minded projects, the foundation is aimed at setting all Foothills School Division students for success.

ENHANCED LEARNING SUPPORT

• Every child can succeed when equipped with the right resources.
• Provide the means to offer mental health, technology, psycho-education assessments, or human resources to support our students.

EMERGENCY RELIEF FOR FAMILIES

• Every student has an equal opportunity to succeed.
• Assist students with emergent needs that prohibit them from participating fully in their education.

EMPOWER FLOURISHING COMMUNITIES

• Every student is a part of a flourishing community.
• Students can be a part of innovative projects that are self-sustaining and encourage community engagement or environmental sustainability.
