Engagement, Support and Success

Foothills School Division wants to ensure our students are well prepared for their future. Next year’s incoming kindergarten class will graduate in 2034 and we want to know how you think we can best prepare them for 2034 and beyond.

If you think about 2034, what will students need to know then to help them achieve their dreams? Are there new skills they may need to develop? What will tomorrow’s leaders need to know and know how to do to be successful?

We will be asking you to help us plan the future of FSD, how we can adjust our plans, how this affects our 3 year Education Plan, and how to adjust next year's budget to help us achieve our future goals.

Join the discussion, add your thoughts on how we ensure that graduates will be successful in their future below.

The teachers at the Comp are great, even though it is a weird year they help you feel apart of the community and they all try to get to know you before the quarter is over. They are very encouraging and are always making sure that you can reach your potential and do your best.

The overall inclusiveness is really nice but I think more school activities would be nice(I do realize we can’t do too many because of COVID but right now it’s been really boring).

I believe the range of choices within the school for classes and teachers helps it feel like you can be anywhere you feel most comfortable. I believe one hope may be that things remain the same if I’m being honest, because I feel that before COVID the school had a good grasp on what kids enjoy in school. That being sports, events, and just involvement.

for 6 hours of work and only 1 hour of break seems like too much class time, and very little break. especially with three hour classes.

The smaller class sizes like in AP are really nice. It lets you get to know everyone better and the teacher gets to spend more one-on-one time
