As we approach budget and education plan planning season, we are seeing your input to help form decisions that impact our short and long-term planning. Either through the survey below or at the in-person session at Highwood High School on February 8, 2024, please provide your feedback on the following areas:

Education Plan

The Board of Trustees has directed us to maintain our current priorities. This means, focusing on the Engagement, Support, and Success of each learner and aligning our priorities with the assurance domains of Alberta Education (as shown in our 2021-2024 Education Plan). This also means we will not be introducing anything new in the Education Plan for the next 5 years. We want to know what you are looking for in the Ed Plan. What strategies or areas of focus that support our system do you want to be a part of?

Operational Plan

New to our system is a forward-facing 5-year Operational Plan that will accompany the Education Plan. It is a synthesis of our capital planning, education planning, and budget; showing how our operations will advance in the next five years. The Operational Plan is also an opportunity for you to see what is on the horizon at FSD. Review the plan (available to the right) and let us know if it makes sense to you, what you appreciate, and if anything is missing for the plan to be understood.

Budget 2024-2025

The budget supports our education, capital, and operational plans. Look at the 2023-2024 budget as well as our 2022-2023 Audited Financial Statement Summary to see what money is received and distributed across the division. From the October 2023 Session:

We would love to meet with you in person, but we know not all schedules allow for it. This online survey is an opportunity to share your voice to inform decisions here at FSD. The October SAS sessions are seeking your input on:

• A revision of AP 350- Student Code of Conduct
  • Alignment with Policy 14
  • Any foreseeable gaps?
  • Your ability to uphold the policy
• A reflection on the 2023-2024 start up
  • What worked?
  • What did not work?
